Let Us Show You Some Bright New Ideas

To a lot of people, it makes total sense to purchase their Vero, FL ceiling fans with lights already attached or to purchase ones that allow for light fixture additions to be added at a later date. You’re killing two birds with one stone, right? Not always! Today we’ve got come pros and cons to think about before you purchase your lighted ceiling fan.

  • Ceiling fans with lights use more energy. While that additional lighting may be nice, you’ve got to consider the extra energy you’ll be using. However, on the upside, it’s only a few extra pennies a day and you likely won’t even notice the additional cost if you turn the lights off when you leave the room. If you’re concerned about carbon footprint though, this is something you’ll want to think about.
  • It’s ambient lighting at best. Since a ceiling fan should always be installed at least 7 to 8 feet from the floor, the overhead lighting isn’t going to be sufficient for reading or working. While you’ll get warm, ambient lighting, it won’t be enough to fully illuminate the room. However, on the upside, if you love ambient lighting, then you’ll be in luck! Plus, for smaller rooms like nurseries and bathrooms, you’ll find they greatly benefit from the lighting on your ceiling fan.
  • You’ll have to change the light bulbs sometimes! Are you prepared to drag out the ladder every time one of those bulbs burn out? This is something you’ll want to consider, too. However, there’s a wide variety of tools and poles that help you change those lights without getting the ladder out!
